Peter is 10 months old!

Peter, 

You are 10 months old! 

Well, you have definitely turned into a little menace. You have mastered the hands and knees crawl and you a cruising!! You're favorite stop right now is in the kitchen. You crawl right over to where the ziplock bags are kept and pull them down and take them our one by one! You are not only crawling like crazy but you get to where you want to go, pull yourself up to a standing position and WALK around and around and reach and walk in between places. You love to pull yourself up on the coffee table and pull all the books, or whatever else is on the table, down to the ground. You have also figured out how to wiggle yourself out of your buckle in the high chair so that you can still stand up. We've have to get a clip to hold the seat belt down tight so you can't get out of it! (Because you have fallen out of your highchair a few times - we're not proud of that). And to top it off, at the end of this month you suddenly learned how to crawl up the stairs by yourself!! We're really going to have to watch you now!

You do love to be in that high chair though and you are so good at feeding yourself. You eat just about everything these days and more people food than baby food too. You get so excited about eating and wiggle your hands and feet and clap while you are getting your meal. You love to eat, but you also still LOVE to nurse. You still nurse about every 3 hours. Mom loves the snuggles and one on one time too!

Peter, you are quite the little talker. You are constantly babbling and talking. You can say mama and dada, but to be honest, you say Mama the most! ;) You have discovered how to buzz your lips and, our favorite, you screech! The screeching mostly occurs when you are not getting fed fast enough or just not getting what you want in general. It is quite shrill and you have been known to get everyone's attention that way, even out in public. When you are tired in the car you will start to sing your tired song and before long you're asleep.

But don't be fooled, that sleep never lasts very long! You are the WORST napper. We are lucky if we can get an hour in the morning and the afternoon. It's typically 20-30min. twice a day. It is really starting to wear on mom. Because you are so busy she really needs a good solid break here and there and just prays every day that you will take a good nap! But in your defense, you do typically sleep for about 11 hours at night! Thank heavens for that!

You still love the bath SO much and we love to watch you splash and play. You like to be outside and are so curious about the things around you. Especially the chickens, but maybe not anymore. They were also curious about you and batman came right up and pecked you in the eyeball. You were quite shocked and then quite upset - so was Mom!

You celebrated your first Thanksgiving and LOVED all the yummy food, of course. You also took your best nap ever on thanksgiving day. Seems very fitting though.

Peter, you are still such a sweet and smiley little man and are so easily entertained and quick to laugh! we are so happy you are in our family!
