It's Not Everyday a Guy turns 26!

Garhett turned 26 on May 17th. We went on a little celebratory weekend get-a-way up in Bear Lake. We stayed in a charming little bed and breakfast called the Blue Bird Inn. It is in Fish Haven Idaho on the west side of the lake.

We spent most of our time relaxing on the beach, kayaking, and fishing. It was a perfect little retreat!

Happy Birthday to my sweet heart and eternal companion! Here's to celebrating many more birthdays for years to come!

21 Weeks

We are now officially 21 weeks! 

Just barely over the half way point 

Here is 15 weeks vs 21 weeks. Crazy how much changes in just a few short weeks. But I've finally 'popped' and now officially look pregnant instead of just that I've gained weight.

Food Cravings: I really don't have any huge cravings, except I like candy more now than I ever have in my life (sour patch, sweethearts, airheads, etc. . .)

Food Aversions: I used to have an aversion to anything dessert (cookies, cakes, brownies etc. . .) which is weird because I normally can't get enough! Well that aversion is slowly melting away, YIKES. I think I've gained as much weight this week as I have my whole pregnancy so far.

Symptoms: occasionally I'll get mild to moderate heart burn; I am up at least 2-3 times at night going to the bathroom (although my husband will tell you that I have to go about every 10 minutes); leg cramps - man those suckers are annoying. Usually they come on in the middle of the night or in the morning when I stretch. On a happier note though, I have been feeling so good the last few weeks and my energy level has been much better.

Maternity Clothes: okay, so maternity pants are like HEAVEN. I don't know why I didn't wear them sooner. Seriously, they are so much more comfortable than squeezing into my regular pants with a belly band. But I can still wear most of my regular pants (unbuttoned and with a belly band) and all of my regular shirts still fit.

Movement: This little girl loves to move. It is the coolest feeling to feel her wiggle around inside of me. (I was so lucky and started feeling her move around 18 weeks) Garhett can feel her now too and loves it! I mostly feel her in the morning after I eat breakfast and right before I go to bed.

Size: She is about the size of a large banana!

Next Appt.: May 22!

 Here are a few pictures from our 20 week Ultrasound. Everything looks perfect and she is growing right on track.

I am usually not a huge fan of 3-D pictures, cause they usually look a little strange, but it's definitely different when it is your own baby. Look how dang CUTE she is! (I'm probably a little biased though!)
