Thomas is 6 months

Thomas, how did you get to be so old so fast! You are officially 6 months old! Just in time for your first Christmas! We just adore you!

You are getting more rolls by the second. You now weigh lbs. oz. and are in. tall! It seems like you are starving all the time and still want to eat every few hours! We tried to feed you real food again and this time you loved it! You're still trying to figure out how to eat it, since all you know how to do is suck, but you're getting better and better! We have tried sweet potatoes - big hit, green beans - not such a big hit (you were gagging!), and carrots - you seemed to like those. We've discovered that if we feed you even just a little bit of real food during the day you sleep all night long!! It's a Christmas Miracle!

Nap time during the day is still a struggle. You would be perfectly content to be held ALL the time, even when sleeping. But since this is simply not possible we've had to start training you otherwise. It's been rough on everyone Bud, we feel your pain too! (Mom LOVES that you still want to cuddle all the time though!)

Abby affectionately calls you Buddy. No matter what we do or how many times we say "Say Thomas, Abby" she will only call you Buddy. But we all think it's pretty cute. Your sister loves you so much and you LOVE watching her play and laughing at how funny she can be. For Christmas you got a few new fun toys and Abby is learning that some things are Thomas's and not Abby's and she's not sure she likes that, but you are so good to share with her.

You two are such good buddies! It makes our hearts melt!

Thomas, you are the sweetest little boy. You are so loving and forgiving (of imperfect and impatient parents, and sometimes rough big sisters!) You add such a sweet spirit to our home.

You still love being naked and therefore tubby time as well, playing with your toes, eating, snuggling with mom and dad and Abby, watching football, sitting in your bumbo and watching whatever is going on, playing with your new toy cars and you new elephant wub-a-nub!

This past month we celebrated two big holidays with you for the first time - Thanksgiving and Christmas and did lots of fun things in-between!
The day after Thanksgiving we went down to see the "Chi-mas" lights (that's how Abby says it) down at Temple Square. It was super crowded but we all had so much fun! You looked pretty cute all dressed up in your polar bear suit!

Then we had our first fire in Daddy's new wood burning stove and opened your first gift of Christmas - Christmas Jammies so you could wear them all December long!

 We went to see the Festival of trees and decorated our own Christmas tree. One of your favorite things to do is lay in front of the tree and look at the lights.

You were a good sport and helped Mommy while she made a blanket for Abby for Christmas!

You celebrated your very first Christmas and because of you and Abby, Christmas was SO magical this year!

Thomas, everyone in this family just loves you, especially your Daddy. He can't wait till you're big enough to wrestle with. For now he just likes to hang out with you and tease you a little (he says we have to toughen you up!)
