Peter is 8 months old

 Peter,

You are 8 months old! One of my favorite ages!! It is so fun to watch you grow and be curious and try to move!

You are definitely on the move. You are rolling like crazy both ways, front to back and back to front. You had your first actual crawl on August 2nd just right before you turned 8 months. It was army crawl style but it still counts because you definitely got from point A to point B. 

This last month has been a rough one. You had a little cold and cough for a few days, then got Covid-19 right after that at the beginning of September, with all the rest of your siblings and Daddy (mommy never did catch it). Luckily your symptoms were so mild. You had a little runny nose for a week and a cough and then a week after that you got your first real bad cold the last week of September. It was rough! Needless to say you have not been sleeping well. You are up every 3 or 4 hours at night and just cry. Then your naps during the day are never longer than 1 hour. We're hoping you start feeling better soon and get back to your regular self! 

Despite it all though you maintain your sweet happy little personality. You are about the happiest baby we have ever had!

You are beginning to notice everything around you and are so interested in it. You are very curious about food and interested in trying new things. You turn at every sound you hear. Mom has had to start nursing you in a room all alone so you won't get distracted. You are also starting to be interested in other babies that you see and in what they have. We visited the Bradshaw clan in Logan and you were so intrigued by Seth, your cousin who is 10 weeks younger than you. You would get up close and try to touch him. Then you took the binky right out of his mouth and put it in yours.

You are still a momma's boy through and through. We've put it to the test several times. If Dad is holding you and mom is near by you always lean toward and reach for mom! Win! ;)

We didn't experience too many firsts this last month because of quarantine. But we did have your first cold! You also got to try your first sucker and you LOVED it of course! We got to go to St. George with the Cheney's and swim and relax and visit with Aunt Marcie and Uncle Mike too! And. . . you went to your first fall festival pumpkin patch and survived your first corn maze (mommy survived too!)

We sure love you Peter and love watching you learn and grow!
