Abigail is 8!

Abigail,

How did you get to be 8 years old!? We are so proud of the little lady you have become. But it seems like you were just our little, tiny, perfect baby girl that we brought home from the hospital . . . and then we blinked! You are getting SO tall. You are   in. tall now. And we think your feet are almost as big as mom's! You're two front teeth are almost all the way grown in and you have lost several more teeth too.

Abby, you are in 2nd grade and have Mrs. Gehmlich for a teacher this year. It was an adjustment for you because she is a little strict, but you have handled it so well. You are doing so well in school and are working so hard. You love to write stories or letters and you love to read! You have discovered chapter books and are working on finishing your first one. We are so proud of you.

You love to be outside, swinging on the swing or climbing on the ladder to see how high you can swing on the bar. You like to do the monkey bars and ride your bike. You are in a tumbling class this year and are loving it and learning lots of fun tricks. You have become really good at roller skating and have recently discovered skateboarding and basketball. You practice and practice until you get better.

Abby you are very creative. You love to do arts and crafts. You love to create. You're mind thinks like your dad. You like to tinker and create tools and projects. You will try and try until you get it right. Lately you have loved doing sticker by number books with your brother!

Your favorite colors are blue and pink and purple and turquoise. You love stuffed animals, animals, and creatures of every kind. You are very imaginative and love to play dress up, school, and house/family with your brothers and cousins. You love listening to music and stories in your room on the CD player. You are a collector of treasure big and small. Papers, rocks, trinkets, notes, you name it. You love to write and have lots of journals for all different kinds of things. You have a sweet tooth and are often found sneaking treats or candy. You also love to get recipe books from the library and make yummy things to eat. You love watching movies and shows and playing games.

Abby you have such a sweet and sensitive little spirit. You are very close to Jesus and say heartfelt and meaningful prayers that you know your Heavenly Father will answer. You got baptized this year and you have been preparing so well. You have been reading your scriptures every night and have been working on learning about baptism and the covenants you made. We are so proud of you.

We had such a special day on your baptism, October 8! Mommy did a special spot light. Daddy baptized you and gave you the gift of the holy ghost. Grandma Mindy gave a talk on baptism and all of your girl cousins sang "When I am baptized." We had a lovely gathering at our house afterwards. We had Root beer floats and doughnuts, just like you wanted, and were able to relax and visit with each other and celebrate you getting baptized and being 8!

We have had such a fun year. You did Scottish dancing and competed in your first competition and got a medal. You are taking music/piano lessons and learning lots and lots. You love to sit at the piano and make up different songs. We went on lots of little summer trips; camping, Moab, Bear lake, Boise to visit Grandma Ann and Aunt Nancy. You love being with family and especially your cousins.

We love you Abigail. Your teacher told us that you have a sparkly personality and we agree. You are so easy and fun to be around. You have a sweet tender heart, are kind and loving and love to tell jokes. You have the sweetest smile and love to show it! You are the best big sister to all your crazy brothers and we LOVE you for that. You are such a great example to them and help take care of them so much!

We LOVE you Abby Abs!
