Russell,
STOP growing. That's what Abby likes to say as well as the rest of us too.
This past month you leaped in your development! You are on the move! While you haven't figured out hands and knees yet (and really don't like when we try put you on them) you are starting to army crawl on your tummy and getting a little faster every day. You also have learned to get around while sitting on your bottom (your favorite position) You spread your legs and reach forward like you are doing the splits (literally) and then scoot/pull your bottom forward! You still love your bouncer but also have another fun toy, a walker that you cruise around in like you own the place! You're realizing that you can reach things that you want all on your own in this contraption and are giving us a little taste of what life will be like when you are 100% mobile - messes everywhere!
You are getting two more teeth - your top canines. They haven't quite cut through yet but they are close. It doesn't really matter if they are there or not though because you seem to be able to chomp just fine with out them. You are a GREAT eater! You ate a huge pile of cut up tomatoes the other day like they were candy. Speaking of candy; we have discovered that you LOVE suckers, and ice cream, and doughnuts (you'll stuff a whole doughnut hole in your mouth like it belongs there!), and pretty much any sweet thing. (We sort of break the rules with you, you get to eat whatever you want!)
You get so excited about things. Mostly your siblings and seeing Mom and Dad. You love to scrunch up your nose and breath in and out really quickly when you are happy or excited! Cutest thing ever!! And you still spin your hand and feet around when your excited too. You are the LIGHTEST little sleeper there ever was! We swear you can sense our presence. We use a noise maker to help hide outside noise (your siblings can be quite noisy)! Even when we're as quiet as can be you seem to jump and wake up when we check on you. Just the slightest squeak from the door opening wakes you up. Even with your noise maker on!
Mom has started weaning you on breast feeding. You still prefer mom, but you do just fine on a bottle. We've learned that formula doesn't sit well on your little tummy but you have NO problem with cow's milk! You love it! You must be a Colton!

You are so social and want to be part of all the excitement. You are growing SOO fast. We think you'll be the same size as Tom in the next few years (but don't tell him that). You are a great sleeper and have such a mild and calm temperament, although a little fiesty-ness is starting to come through. You're learning to put up a fuss when what you have is taken away - but with 2 crazy older siblings you've got to hold your own!
