Russell is 4 months

Russell,

You are 4 months old and weigh 14 lbs. 7 oz. and are 24 in. long! And are still growing!

You are so smiley all the time now and have started talking like crazy. You get these serious concentrated eyes and look at us and talk and talk like you have something very important to say. I'm sure you do! You have started giggling a little bit and we love the rare chance we get to hear it and hope it starts coming out more! We love your signature sound. You draw your breath in and squeal!

We are working on tummy time but you are not a huge fan of it. We've tried the bumbo a few times but you aren't quite strong enough for it yet!

You are still a great sleeper during the night and are taking better naps during the day but getting you to sleep is a struggle. You just fight it and fight it.

You are such a good little baby and so content; just happy to sit in your chair and take in all the chaos. You only get fussy when you're hungry or tired. We are so grateful for your sweet mild personality.

You are growing more mature and your cute little chin quiver is all the way gone! :( You are so active now and are always moving your little arms and legs. Whenever you get in the tub you kick like crazy and just love it!

We've had a few firsts this past month. Your first family hike and your first family vacation (with more hiking)!

Abby loves to help change you and is such a good helper all around! She sure loves you!

We have lots of car seat pictures because your are the 3rd child and you are always on the go! You're a good sport!

Our family night lesson. Washing each other's feet! Abby and Thomas were excited to wash your feet!

You are not a fan of Tummy time. You usually will put up with it for a minute, then cry/whine for a minute, then you'll just lay down and refuse to do it.

You get to spend lots of time with Mommy because she's the one that feeds you!

You LOVE to snuggle. It's your preferred way to fall asleep!

We had your first family vacation! We went to Arches national hike and hiked to delicate arch, went swimming and hiked to a little water hole! You did great on the hikes but you didn't love the long car ride so much!

We've had lots of family time this summer. Great Grandma Matheson and Jerry Hayes and you and Mom at a family reunion!
