Russell is 1 Month

Sweet Russell Dee,

You are 1 month old already! The time is 'FLYING' by!

Russell, you are the sweetest little baby. This first month of your life has been full of snuggles, sleep, eating, loving and GROWING. You seem to be growing SOO fast! You were born at 6lbs 7oz. 19 in. long, 4 days later your were 6lbs 3 oz. At your 2 weeks appointment you were 7lbs 9oz 19.5 in. long. You gained over a pound in just 19 days!  And you just keep on growing! Too fast!!

You are adored by just about everyone especially your older brother and sister! They love to help feed you and hold you and LOVE to give you hugs and kisses! You are pretty lucky to have them around and so are Mom and Dad because they have been great helpers!

Matching!

We have enjoyed this first month of your life where you have slept almost all the time except for when you wake up to eat. It just so happens that you like to wake up every two hours at night time and will sleep 4-5 hour stretches at night. We're hoping you figure that switch out SOON! We'll see what the next month brings as your little personality is starting to emerge.

You have been a picture of health in the most important ways. You have a small little umbilical hernia and we have struggled with a pretty bad diaper rash. You also have thrush! This has been the worst for Mom since it hurts every time you want to eat. We're working on getting rid of it though! You seem to be very similar to your sister Abby in this way. She also had thrush as a baby and an umbilical hernia.

For a newborn you surprisingly LOVE bath time; until it's time to get out!

We're great at naps at this house!

First time Mom attempted to take all 3 kids out at the same time. We were on our way to you 2 week appointment.

Sunday Best! You are such a handsome little thing! Your brother Thomas wore this outfit when he was a little over a month old and it was to big. It is snug on you at just a little under a month old.

You love snuggles with your dad!

You are SO loved Russell. We can't remember life without you!
