Abby,
It's hard to believe you are 2 1/2 already! You are growing by leaps and bounds. It's tough to keep up with all the changes that you are making but we'll try to document as much as we can.
This is how much you've grown and changed in just 6 short months. You still have that adorable crooked smile though!

You are 2 years and 6 months old. You are still a picky little eater but have started to broaden your diet a little. Peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese, and chicken nuggets are your favorites but you now LOVE "sauce, cinn'mon" (applesauce with cinnamon), fruit smoothies (you love to help make them), and spaghetti (you'll actually eat it with the sauce now), and of course any kind of sweet treat!
You are talking and talking and TALKING! We are amazed at how much you've learned in a few short months. You went from saying just a few words when you turned 2 to now speaking in short sentences. There are still some words that we have to try and translate, but your vocabulary is getting larger and your pronunciation much more clear. Here are a few of our favorite things that you say:

You are still such a loving little girl Abby. You love to give kisses and hugs to mom and dad and especially to Thomas, or Buddy as you like to call him. You love to hold Buddy and are starting to try to carry him (even though he's almost as big as you are). You give him kisses on the head and as soon as you hear him wake up from his nap you make sure to tell us "Buddy, 'wake" and run into his room and say "Hi Buddy!" Whenever someone is hurt or sad you are so quick to say "You K?" You have the purest little heart and we are so blessed to have you around.
You have gotten so good at saying your prayers at night, and have started saying them by yourself sometimes too! You also love sitting down with the family and reading 'Scipas' (scriptures.) We love that sweet spiritual side of you!
You have always been such an easy little thing. You potty trained yourself in 2 days flat (at the end of January 2017) We were so surprised and so proud of you! You are a champ sleeper, and definitely LOVE your beauty rest. You are still a great napper. But getting up in the morning or after naps is always a struggle lately.
First time going potty in the toilet!
You have an endless amount of energy. You love to jump and run and play. You LOVE to play hide and seek, jump from couch to couch, swing, go for walks and chase mom and dad around. You and your Daddy are BEST FRIENDS. When Dad gets home from work it's all fun and games and you two have the sweetest relationship! You love to help Daddy out in the yard, and fix things!
You also love to play inside with your dolls and toys . Your favorite thing to do lately is to tuck everything into bed, whether that's your dolls or your toys. You wrap them up in a blanket and put them to sleep. You've even started to try to feed some of your dolls and Thomas a few times as well - the way that Mom feeds Thomas. You are quite the observant little thing. You LOVE to help mom bake sweet treats - your favorite is making chocolate chip cookies! You love watching Princess shows/movies of any kind! "Elsa" and Brave are your favorites right now. Dress ups is a fun game you like to play. You get mom's wedding tiara and put it on your head and say "I 'pitty pincess'" We love that you know who you are - a pretty princess - and hope you always remember that!
You can count to 10, all by yourself (but for some reason you always skip the number 6) and can say your ABCs (with a little help) You are so smart and we are surprised and just how quickly you learn! You are learning what names are and can say yours - 'Abby Co'ton' and can tell us who everyone in the family is - 'Daddy Co'ton, Mommy Co'ton and Buddy Co'ton'
You LOVE your little brother. You are such a good big sister to him. You like to play with his toys, but you always make sure that you "trade" him with something else if you take his toy. We think it's pretty cute and he doesn't seem to mind as long as he gets something else to play with. You are fiercely protective of him if anyone else is trying to take his stuff though.

There is nothing quite as fulfilling in our lives as raising you (and your brother) We love you more than you will ever know! But there is one who loves you even more. Never forget how much your Heavenly Father loves you!! You are truly a princess - a daughter of a Heavenly King.

During Christmas time we went down town to see the "Chi'mas Yights" as you like to call them. You LOVED seeing all the pretty lights and even got to see Santa walking around too.
