Thomas is 4 months old!

Thomas,

This newborn stage is going by so fast and we are trying to cling on to every little cuddle and coo we can!

You continue to grow and grow, and grow! At your 4 month appointment you were 13 lbs and 23 in. tall! They tell me you are all proportional for your weight and height - you're just not a very tall little boy! (still a just little over the 2nd percentile for height . . . sorry buddy, that's Mom's fault!)

You are getting stronger and enjoy tummy time a little more. You are lifting your head higher and longer each time. You even started leaning to the side. You'll be rolling over before we know it!

 

Thomas, you LOVE to gnaw on anything you can find, especially your hands. We're not sure but we think you might get teeth pretty soon! (Ahh . . .)

Along with all that growing you are learning so much. With those big eyes getting bluer and bluer you continue to take in the world around you - constantly looking around and staring at things or people.  Your little voice is heard more these days as well. We definitely haven't heard the last from you, your little coos are adorable!

Thomas, you love hanging out with your sister! You are a good sport too. She loves to play with you and read stories with you. Your little eyes are quite frequently darting around the room trying to keep a constant eye on what your sister is doing. You adore her and she makes you smile most of all!

 

       

Sometimes this is how you feel about playing with your sister! But we know you love her!

You are still the cuddliest little buddy, and are all smiles these days! We LOVE your sweet little smile and darling dimples! Mom's favorite thing is when she goes in early in the morning to feed you and says "Hi Handsome", you get the biggest smile on your face and it melts her heart! You have the sweetest little personality and are so calm natured - well, as long as your held that is.

 

You continue to want to be held most of all; mostly because you want a part of what's going on. You love to sit up and are able to more and more. As long as you are a part of the action you are generally happy. 

  

You love hanging out with your Daddy! He knows just what to do to make you laugh!

 

We are still working on your sleeping habits. You are quite the little tease. Every few days you sleep for 8 or more hours and Mom and Dad get really hopeful but then the next night will only sleep for 4 before you wake up. You always sleep the best when you are cuddled up with Mom or Dad - which prevents them from sleeping! One day you'll figure this sleeping thing out. We still love you more than you'll ever know though!

You've done lots of fun things this past month Thomas! You went to the Utah State Fair and to see the Witches at Gardner Village. We also made and decorated Halloween Cookies and drove up the canyon to see the pretty fall leaves!

Thomas, you LOVE being naked! Bathe time is your favorite and no matter how fussy you are, the minute we take your diaper off you are immediately happy as can be!

We love you sweet little smiles and your bright blue eyes; we love you sweet spirit and your little toes. We love you Thomas. Thanks for putting up with the crazy new family of yours!
