9 Months

Dear Abby,

You are 9 months old! You have been out for just about as long as you were inside of Mom. We can't believe how fast the time has flown by. You are meeting more and more milestones by the minute and we love watching you learn and grow!

This is your 9 month photo shoot. These pictures pretty much sum up how you feel about life Abigail. You are such a joy to be around and get excited about everything!

At 9 months, you weigh 16 lbs. 12 oz, and are 27 1/2 in. long! Mom and Dad wish you would slow down and not grow so fast!

You like to eat but are so easily distracted at meal times it is sometimes hard to get you to finish eating anything. You like your baby food but would much rather eat grown up food. You do really well biting things just with your gums, but it would be much easier if you had some teeth to help with that. Lucky for you, or not so much, your teeth are on their way. Your very first baby tooth (bottom left front tooth) just barely cut through on your 9 month birthday (June 6, 2015).

Along with everything else, your hair is also growing fast. Mom can just barely get it into a tiny pony tail on top of your head and she LOVES how cute it makes you look!

You love to move and explore (if only it were easier). But you figure out a way most of the time. You can go from a sitting position to your hands and knees. Once you're there you usually collapse onto your tummy. But you're learning how to scoot around and turn in circles on your tummy. You LOVE to stand on your feet and are learning to pull yourself up to a standing position. You love to play in the jumper and bounce and jump to your hearts content!

You have developed a sense of "I want it and I'm going to get it" If you see a toy or something that you want you do what it takes to get to it. You've become very resourceful and sometimes you use your feet to get an item closer to you. So smart, little one! You have also developed a sense of anticipation. You know what's coming when Daddy says "I'm gonna get you" and start to giggle and get ready for Daddy to come.

You are learning how to wave. When we say "Hi Abby" and wave at you, you stick your arm up over your head and smile!

When you get tired you like to put your binky in your mouth and then stick your thumb in the whole of your binky. So clever, Abby, you can suck on your binky and your thumb at the same time! You  don't sleep quite at well at night at you used to, getting up sometimes 2-3 times. Mom thinks it's because of  your teeth. It's especially hard for mom because you are such an early riser, usually around 6:30 or 7 am! You take 2 (and sometimes 3) naps a day. Usually for about 1 1/2- 2 1/2 hours! Mommy and Daddy are pretty lucky.

You're wiggly as ever and so so curious! It makes it hard for Mom and Dad to sit through anything for too long. Especially church meetings. You love to play and explore, especially with other babies. You like to check out their eyes, mouths, and noses! Didn't you know that you're just like them Abby!? You've also discovered other fun things like the park and love to swing on the swings!

You love to talk, and babble Abby. We wish we could understand what you're saying because it seems like you are telling some really good stories!

You still are quite the Momma's girl and Mommy LOVES that! But when Daddy gets home from work it's all laughs and giggles! You love to run around the backyard with him and feed the pigeons and water the garden.
