Happy 4th of July! I am so grateful to be an American and so grateful for my freedom!
Garhett and I had a great 4th of July weekend filled with lots of fun! It all started when I went to the craft store a few days before the holiday. We don't have any 4th decor so I wanted to get a few things. I must have felt crafty that day because I came home with a bunch of supplies and made this cute USA decoration.

| I painted the letters... |
| I painted the frames... |
| then I glittered the frames (I used mod podge to get the glitter to stick.) and put cute red and white paper in the frames... |
| And here is the finished product. It was really easy to make and didn't take too much time either! |
On the 3rd my sisters and I decided last minute that we wanted to go get a pedicure. Now we have been trying to get my mom to get a pedicure with us for years, but she says it's just not her thing! Well... I'm not sure what got into her this time but somehow we convinced her to go with us. This was a monumental occasion for her, so I had to document it!
Later that night we went to the Oakley Rodeo. It was so much fun. Poor Garhett had his hand/arm/leg squeezed the whole night... I get a little anxious when they do the bucking competitions that some poor cowboy is going to get trampled.
| Janie and Marcie! Going to Rodeos is their FAVORITE thing to do! |
| Me and my cute Cowboy! |
| The whole gang! I guess Garhett and I need to invest in some cowboy hats. Janie and Marcie were pretty disappointed in us. |
I had to work on the actual 4th of July but I was able to make it home for a BBQ with the Fam and then fireworks in Holladay.
| No matter how hard he tried my cute husband just couldn't keep his eyes open when the flash went off for these pictures. We have about 10 pics of this same shot and his eyes are closed in every single one! But he is still so so cute! :) |
| Eyes open or eyes closed, I was just happy to be able to celebrate the last little bit of the day with my love! |
The weekend after the 4th we went camping in Fairview with Lu and her boys at their family reunion. (Really good family friends of Garhett). We had a blast despite that it rained a lot and was super muddy.
| Garhett built a camping shell for his truck a few years ago. That's what we slept in. We put an old futon mattress in there and it was really comfy. I slept great and even got hot. (Which for those who know me is pretty miraculous!) My husband is such a handy-man! Love him! |
| Eric and Tyler playing ladder-ball! |
| We took the kayaks out to the near by reservoir. |
| Frisbee in the Kayaks! |
| Tyler and Eric (and their cousin) got pretty muddy driving the razor around in the mud puddles after it rained! |
We had such a great holiday weekend an it was topped off with a big birthday celebration and Matheson family Olympics. But that has to be a post all on its own! :) Stay tuned....
