Mitchell is 1 month!

 Mitchell,

It has been one month since you were born! We are thrilled you are here. We got to take you home from the hospital on June 18, after 6 days in the NICU. You have been doing great! You LOVE to eat and are growing SO much. You love to snuggle and to be held and that's when you sleep the best. You are a happy spitter. You spit-up all the time, but it doesn't seem to bother you. Your foot is healing nicely, but we did have to do a week of oral antibiotics because it became infected. But mom is a pro at handling that and changing your foot dressing every 2 days and following up with wound care every week.

Your siblings adore you and want to play with and hold you all the time. They often fight over you. They are great helpers and they all love you so much. Abby loves to get you dressed and change your diapers and hold you all the time. Thomas likes to snuggle with you in his bed. Russell and Peter like to turn on music and dance with you and of course hold you. They love to give you kisses. Russell loves to rock you to sleep and snuggle you and hold you over his shoulder. Peter loves to rub you head and kiss your cheeks.

Dad loves to play with you and give you ALL the kisses. You try to suck on his lips like it's milkies. But only when he has shaved his pokies off!

And mom, mom get's to feed you. She gets to continue to give you all the nourishment you need and she loves it! Mom loves to stare at your perfect face as you fall asleep nursing in her arms. She's the luckiest!
