Tom is 5 years old!

Or Tomma as we often call you. You prefer people to call you Tommy. 

You are 5 years old! You are 3 ft. 6 in. tall and weigh _____ lbs. You may be little but your personality is SO big. You were a little disappointed when we measured you. You thought you should be at the line where Abby was when she was 5, but you're just not quite as tall as she was. ;)

Every summer you turn into our tan little beach boy with your bleached out summer blond hair that we love. You LOVE to swim and did so well in your swimming lessons this past spring. You turned into a little fish and are so confident in the water. You love doing anything with or around water. You love to be outside playing at the park or playing in the sandbox or riding your balance bike. You got a big 2 wheeler bike for your birthday and you are so excited about it. You learned how to ride it in just about a day.

You love dinosaurs and anything that has to do with dinosaurs. You love to dig in the dirt and the sand for dinosaur bones. You have a little dinosaur encyclopedia that you love to look at. We took a trip to Moab and went to a dinosaur museum that had life size dinosaur statues. You were in heaven. You got a book for your birthday of all the pictures you took next to the big dino statues and were SO excited about it.

You LOVE superheroes right now Tom. Any super hero is pretty awesome but you especially love batman and spiderman!

You have come to be such a good helper to your little brothers. You and Russell are good buddies and you love to play together and wrestle together. I often see you making his bed or helping him get dressed or putting his shoes on. You are such a sweet big brother. You are getting to be pretty helpful with Pete too. You like to talk to him and make him smile. Now that you're bigger you like to help pick Peter up and take him to mom or dad when he is sad.

You and Abby are still the best of friends and you love to imagine together. You love to watch shows with Abby, make forts, or jump off the ladder and swing in the back yard. You often say "I want to match Abby." or "I want to do everything you do, Abby." You sure do love her. You two have a secret hand shake and say "best friends forever!"

Almost every night you ask for snuggles from mom or dad or both. You love to have someone to lay by as you fall asleep. Your favorite primary song is Gethsemane and you love when mom or dad sings it to you in your bed.

You graduated from upstart and from pre-school and you are well on your way to Kindergarten and couldn't be more excited! You are so ready and we can't wait to see you continue to learn and make friends. You are starting to read and you can write your name so well. We love watching you learn.

You recently learned how to play checkers and you are really good at it! You also pride yourself in your good eye site! ;P You love being naked and are very comfortable in your own skin. You have the cutest little dimples when you smile! You love to stay up late and watch basketball with Daddy and have bowls of cereal.

We went to Moab a few months ago and you lived in the water - swimming every day. We are planning on going camping and you can't wait to use your fishing pole and fish with Daddy and to shoot the Bebe gun too!

Tom you are such a sweetheart and love to be a helper. You do a great job at it, when it's your idea. You are still very strong willed and determined. You know what you want and you'll get it, sometimes at any cost. These are great qualities Tom, we're just hoping we can help you use them in the best way ;)
