Thomas, you are 2 years old! The time has just FLOWN. We have loved watching you learn and grow these last 6 months. And you have definitely done that!
-You LOVE to climb. You used to climb out of your high chair, on to the table and down on the chair to get out if we didn't do it fast enough. You are so big now though that you won't sit in your highchair to eat or in the toddler chair either. You want to sit in a big chair just like everybody else. But since you're on the short side you end up standing every time you eat.
-You are our early riser! You wake up at 6 or 630 in the morning. When you were in your crib you would yell "Mommy, Mommy' in a little angry voice until someone came to get you. Everyone got an upgrade though and when Abby got a big girl bed we said goodbye to the crib and put you in the toddler bed. You LOVE it. Mom and dad are trying to decide if we like it as much. You have freedom getting you to stay in bed a little bit of a challenge. Mom often hears your little feet padding around the corner and into her room early in the morning around 5 or so. You climb up onto our bed and lay right on mom - tummy to tummy. Although it's early, she Loves it when you do this. We struggled a bit after we put you in the toddler bed. You started waking up in the middle of the night again. But I think I can safely say that now that you are 2 you FINALLY are sleeping through the night!
You also upgraded to a forward facing car seat and love being able to see the world while we drive! AND . . . NO MORE BINKY!! You were a champ with the whole thing. It was hard for you for a few days but you did so well and now don't even think about it at all. (we got rid of this about a month before you turned 2)

-Your sign language has really picked up over the last 6 months. You were so good at signing more and please and thank you. You had your own little language too and would speak in intonations. You didn't really need to say words because you communicated just fine this way and Mom and Dad knew just what you wanted. Now that you are 2 you have started saying so many words! You say mom, dad, Abby, more, turtle, dirty, cucka, sticky, up - up is your very favorite word to say, out. water and please.
-You've started to become so picky about what you eat which makes us so sad. If you eat meat you like to hand and fist the whole thing; none of this cut up small pieces stuff for you.
-Your favorite place to be is outside or in the water. Any chance you get you will be out there rain, or snow, or shine. You LOVE rocks and like to collect them anywhere we go. If you had it your way you would be outside throwing rocks in the water 24/7! You also would prefer to be naked all the time if we let you. Which makes sense why tubby time is your favorite!! When we change your clothes and diaper you usually escape and run all around the house giggling and laughing away!
- You are a little tease and love to test your limits. But you are also very loving. You are our little cuddle bug - mostly Mamma's little cuddle bug. You are Mom's BEST BUD. You try to steal kisses away from Daddy and you two have a little competition going about it. For Father's Day you went camping with Daddy and LOVED it. You and Daddy must have bonded because now he is your best pal. You LOVE your Daddy. You have the cutest little cheesy face when you smile. you squint your little eyes scrunch your little nose and say your version of "cheese" ("ehhhhh")
-You love to play with Abby and do EVERYTHING she does (monkey see, monkey do). You are ALWAYS looking out for Abby. Anytime we give you anything to eat or drink you immediately think of your sister and say "Abby, Abby? . . ." until we give her some too or give you some to share with her. You are the sweetest, most thoughtful little boy! You two definitely have your arguments but you get along pretty well and we know you love her!
-You do have a little anger management issues though. We're working on that, but you've got a little temper. (you had an incident with the fridge on New Years day.)
You are our big boy now. And we simply adore you! You have the cheesiest little grin and scrunch your whole face up when we ask you to smile. You are such a handsome little stud! You are sweet and loving and funny and an irreplaceable part or our family!!
