Hawaii Part 1 - Oahu

We just spent two wonderful, blissful weeks in Hawaii. This trip acted as our summer vacation and as our real honeymoon, and it was well worth the wait! We had so much fun and loved being together for two straight weeks. We spent 1 week on Oahu and 1 week on Kauai. Needless to say we have a million pictures. Here are some pictures of our Oahu adventures!

This is where we stayed in Oahu. The 'Sunset Studio'. It is on the North Shore right down the block from Sunset Beach. It was a perfect location.

Pineapples! The Dole Pineapple plantation is on Oahu. We got some delicious Dole Whip pineapple ice cream and then drove by the pineapple fields. We learned that it takes a pineapple 2 years to grow! And who knew they grew on little bushes? I didn't!

This was at the Polynesian Cultural Center. We went to the Luau and they had all the 'Honeymooners' stand up and dance in front of the crowd.

The first day we were there we drove down the East side of the island and  stopped at almost every beach along the way.

You may not be able to see but there were huge black crabs all over these rocks that looked like huge spiders!

On Grahett's birthday - May 17th - we spent the morning at Pearl Harbor. We visited the USS Arizona Memorial first. It was incredible and very humbling. You can still see oil leaking out of the ship into the water.

This was at the USS Missouri Battleship. We took a great tour  of the ship, but after this shot the camera battery died! After this we also visited the Airforce museum

We always go to the temple on Garhett's birthday and being in Hawaii was no exception. We went to the Laie Hawaii temple. It was BEAUTIFUL.

Koko Head trail. A hike up an old rail way to an old mine. It was like climbing stairs for two miles! But the view from the top was so worth it!

Being in Hawaii and all, we spent lots of time swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing on  the beach!
